About Us
As a child, my father was a professional tree climber. He worked for Asplund. He drove the bucket trucks and had the ropes, carabiners, saws, and harnesses. One day he even brought the bucket truck home and took me up in it. I swear we were so high I could have reached and smacked a cloud. While we were up there, I remember looking up at my Dad and thinking how brave, tough, and hard-working he was. At that moment, I knew I wanted to be just like him one day.
On top of working long hours cutting down trees, he also built a barn in our backyard. It got me wondering how he could work so hard at work and then come home and continue to work so hard. I didn't get it. He must be a superhero. He is my superhero. I even asked him, “Dad, how do you work so hard all the time?” He smiled at me, and I swear to God he said, “ Son, we’re Farmers. We do Far More for your money, honey.” That phrase was instantly engraved into my DNA, and it became a motto I would soon live by.

So the time came for me to get a job, and my father drove me around to get applications from anywhere that would hire a 13/14-year-old. We stopped at McDonald's for what I thought was a lunch break, but he wanted me to go inside and grab an application. I was instantly upset with him. How could my father allow me to work at McDonald's? So I told him, “Dad, this is embarrassing; I don't want to work here.” He said, “Why not? It's a job,” I said yeah, but it's Mcdonald's,” he said, “So what? It's a job, and no matter the job, you do the best work you can.” I asked him, “So you'd work here?” He looked at me with so much honor and pride and said, “If I lost my job right now, I would work anywhere, anywhere, to make sure that my family was taken care of.”
I felt what he meant. His words spoke action and volumes to me. Still, to this day, I feel his sincerity. I ended up working a few different jobs like Drugmart and Arby's but I knew they were not the jobs for me.
When I turned 18 years old, I landed a roofing job, and that job was hard. But at the end of every day, I knew I had earned my money just like my Dad had. I didn't quite have the energy my Dad did when he got off work, but I started getting used to the hard work.
Here in Ohio, our summers are over quickly, so I had to start finding fill-in jobs for the winter. I started a commercial job remodeling Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I absolutely loved the process of demoing all the way to the final coat of paint. Remodeling became my passion. I knew I wanted to start my Own Company.

I wanted to be fair but profitable as a business owner. I wanted to come home every day feeling accomplished and proud of the work I had done. When someone hears the name Farmer I want them to think of the beautiful work we do and how we treated them like our own family. I want them to know we’re Farmers and we do Far More for your money honey.
